Wildlife and animals At Brawby Grange

Set in Farmland we are very fortunate to have a variety of wildlife living alongside us. Our resident Barn Owl can often be seen hunting the edges of the fields and around the orchard, a beautiful sight to watch from your caravan. Our resident squirrels can be seen on occasions, usually raiding the bird feeders. Deer can sometimes be seen across the fields and down the lane at dawn and dusk.

In an RSPB birdcount it was found we had 33 different species on our land, 13 of which are on the red list for endangered. Woodpeckers, Lapwings, Barn Owls, Little Owls and Tawny Owls are always around together with garden birds. Swallows come back every year to nest in the outbuildings. Curlews and Buzzards can be seen and heard.

We have ponies here, a cheeky Shetland, a welsh mountain pony and a very sweet coloured pony. All are very friendly but we do request that visitors don’t feed them as it encourages them to seek out treats.

A couple of cats and our dogs are usually the welcoming committee!
